Who Are We?

 Green Gables at Historic Riverview Village, Inc., was formed in 2010 in response to the loss of a number of  irreplaceable historic structures in southern Brevard County and the  City of Melbourne. A Florida registered not-for-profit corporation,  recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization.

  To preserve and restore the historical landmark and surrounding green space, known as Green Gables, which represents the legacy of the early developers of South Brevard and to create there a living history museum and center for community engagement.

Students can come to Green Gables and directly experience what life was like growing up in Melbourne in the late 1800's.  They will have the experience of making soap, & ice cream while learning about the history of Melbourne and several founding families while playing actual games on the grounds that were common at the time.

Visitors can hop on and off the Green Gables Trolley and travel to all of the local historic sites as well as the downtown district of Melbourne. Future routes will include a direct link from downtown Melbourne to the Eau Gallie Arts District.
