Tours of Green Gables are available every
Saturday from 10am - 2pm. However last tour begins at 1:30.
Please join us for a step back in time where you can experience the hospitality of life in early Melbourne. Green Gables is a living history museum which means that many of our exhibits can be interactive.
Enjoy our beautiful grounds located on the Indian River and our nature preserve.

AMERICA 250 - Again this year, Fireworks Viewing for the City of Melbourne's, MELBOOM 2026 July 4th Fireworks, from the lawn of Green Gables.
There will be:
- Patriotic Music
- Hot Dog Combo for $5
- Children's Game Area
- Water available for purchase.
Cost is $15 per car (with a maximum of 4 adults) or
$20 per car at the door.
IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE.
Only ticket holders may park on Green Gables property. Overflow parking and non-ticketed vehicles will park at Reflections, located at the light to the North of Green Gables.
Gates will open at 6:30pm and close immediately following the Melbourne Fireworks show.
Bring your lawn chairs!
NO SMOKING, open flame, personal fireworks or alcoholic beverages are allowed on the grounds of Green Gables.
The house will NOT be open for tours that evening, Tours will continue to be available on Saturdays from 10-2.

Back by popular demand, Green Gables will be performing Murder on Route 66
Mystery Dinner Theater.
One night only at the Italian American Club

Melbourne, FL
on July 25th at 6PM
We will offer you a night of intrigue and fun as you use your detective skills to guess
WHO DUNNIT!!
The night includes a complete meal of
salad, bread, entree and dessert.
A cash bar is available.
All proceeds will directly benefit Green Gables.
For extra fun, come dressed in your favorite 60's outfit.
Due to limited seating, we recommend getting your tickets early. Cost $40

We expect a full participation of Vendors again this year so we encourage early registration to guarantee a spot.

Rain Barrel Workshops Will Resume This Fall
The City of Melbourne has partnered with Green Gables to host rain barrel workshops. Participants will receive a free rain barrel at the workshop, will learn the benefits of using a rain barrel, and will learn how to install and use a rain barrel.
The workshops will be held outdoors. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
Class size is limited, and advanced registration is required.
