Forgotten Enchantress documentary is the true story of Green Gables, in the voice of the Queen Anne-style Victorian house, built in Melbourne, Florida, by William T. and Nora Wells, in the late 19th century. Forgotten Enchantress documents the contributions of the innovative family that built the house and the family's legacy. Due to COVID-19 all screenings were cancelled. We've decide to release the film here! Enjoy!

Save Green Gables

After withstanding hurricanes, floods and other storms for 123 years, this Forgotten Enchantress faces the storm of destruction for commercial gain. Will the small team of compassionate citizens save her in time?

Forgotten Enchantress is the story of Green Gables, in the voice of the Queen Anne-style Victorian house, built in Melbourne, Florida, by William T. and Nora Wells, in the late 19th century. Set amid a period backdrop with a yearning hope for future generations, the film is narrated by the current and former president of the nonprofit organization created exclusively to save this treasured piece of Americana, as well as an 82-year-old storytelling businessman who states why he believes the house must be saved and restored. Forgotten Enchantress documents the contributions of the innovative family who built the house and their legacy.

Without the vision & hard work from a small team of mighty filmmakers, lead by Jennifer East, this film wouldn‘t exist. With 3 days of shooting & a week to edit, the film premiered on 1/11/2020. After only a few showings, all live fundraising efforts were shutdown due to Covid. All that remained were online viewings.
