Our Capital Campaign To Restore Green Gables
Our Restoration Plan
In June of 2023 Green Gables at Historic Riverview Village, Inc., was able to purchase this historic home completing Phase I of our restoration plan. Phase II which provided our Historic Structure report has also been completed. It is now time to begin Phases III and Phase IV to achieve our mission of making this iconic home a living history experience.

Phase III and IV include:
- Install City water
- Reinforce pilings, foundation, columns and cross beams
- Remove cracked concrete porches and frame new footing for new porches
- Installation of an interim roof
- Check and repair fire place chimney and re -point bricks
- Remove non period structure on the south facade and reconstruct the 2nd floor veranda
- Prepare home for HVAC
- Repair windows and doors
